Installation and Maintenance

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The process of reverse osmosis (RO) is an advanced water filtration process that purifies by removing the presence of particles and chemicals from drinking water by passing water through a membrane which only allows pure water to flow through while rejecting particles and impurities. Modern RO filtration systems used in homes and offices combine the membrane technology with carbon along with mechanical filtration for producing purified and tasty water.

Our undersink Reverse Osmosis systems are neatly installed under the sink with a dedicated faucet installed above the sink. The system has a storage tank which automatically refills to level when used and automatically shuts off when full.

All of our reverse osmosis systems produce highly purified water. However, not all the systems have the same application. For example the 3 stage RO while drinkable is acidic and is the system best used for laboratories and aquariums. Whereas stage 4 & 5 Reverse osmosis water filters have Alkaline filters which increase the pH level making it suitable for drinking. Contact our helpful team to learn more about which system is best for you and you can also read more here about RO and options.

Concerns raised regarding RO water often relate to the fact that Reverse Osmosis removes both good and bad minerals from the water from your tap. It is true that minerals are removed during the filtration process but hence the reason for additional stages in the filtration process. For example, in the 4 stage and 5 stage RO systems, after minerals are removed during the first stages of filtration, the next stages of the process put the good minerals back in.

Our reverse osmosis water filter systems do not run on electricity; they run on the water pressure.

Reverse Osmosis is a popular option as it provides good tasty water at an affordable price especially when compared to buying bottled water. Low maintenance systems means overall savings and the convenience of clean drinking water at home or in the workplace.

The RO systems are made to last and we offer a 5 year warranty on the systems. Where regular maintenance and replace is required is in the filters themselves. In general, filters will last 6-12 months before replacement but if you have a busy household or office or are in an area where there are a lot of contaminants in the water then it may be necessary to replace filters more frequently.

When you buy the replacement filter, we will service free of charge which involves cleaning the system. Please call our service centre for replacement cartridge prices.
